At this point, tons of traders are getting pummeled right now. We've all been there. I know I've taken my share of lumps.
Here are a few thoughts for traders now in the mental gutter:
If you're even looking to figure out what's going on. You're winning. Any retrospection is better than no retrospection.
Why does it even matter what the market is going to do next if you can't follow a trading plan anyways?
Why does it even matter what the market is going to do next if you don't have a trading plan?
You keep hoping your market comes back, but why? So you can keep lying to yourself?
You can't get back to an even state of mind holding positions that drive you nuts.
Being the first to acknowledge that and dumping those shitty positions gives you a huge edge on those who don't.
Market conditions change over time, all the time. You have to develop a feel and understanding of how and when they change. Or you can just manage risk.
